Parking tax abolished

DMC chief advisor, Er. Keditsu on Tuesday said that the parking tax has been abolished and added that the authority was on the lookout for some miscreants who were forcibly collecting trade license fees. When asked about the progress in computerization of the toll tax collection, he informed that an entire haul up of the system was already underway and that the computerization was almost complete. Stating that the DMC has also received some complaints on the installation of mobile towers, he said respective service providers would be consulted so that it does not pose heath hazard to the public. The chief advisor disclosed that the construction of a new Municipal building was already on the cards. He also said that a staffing pattern has already been discussed and sent to the urban development for approval. (Staff Reporter)
