Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) Kohima has reacted over the claims of Nagaland Police Supplier’s Union (NPSU) having affiliation of NCSU as published in the media.
A press note by NCSU vice president, K. L. Setuo Rutsa and secretary, Imsunok Jamir stated that affiliation of NPSU with NCSU does not arise as the Article VII “Affiliation of units” of the Constitution of NCSU clearly stated that “All the district Unit of NCSU within the jurisdiction of Nagaland State shall be the only affiliating units of NCSU Head Office.”
It further pointed out that, Article VIII “Membership”, Clause 7, says that “if any member is found having dual registration with other union parallel to NCSU body, his/her registration shall be treated as cancelled”.
NCSU therefore informs all the bonafide members of NCSU that the union would always stick to Government Standing Order “that all Government Contract and Supply Works in the State of Nagaland should be awarded only to the registered card holder of Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ union”.
NCSU in this regard has directed all district unit offices to be aware and vigilant against any self style contractors’ organisation within their jurisdiction and inform the same to the head office for necessary action.
