The Beauty and Aesthetic Society of Nagaland (BASN) has officially announced that the Miss Universe Nagaland 2025 pageant will be held on June 11 in Kohima. The announcement was made on May 15, during a press conference organized by BASN.

For the first time, Nagaland will witness a full-fledged state-level pageant to select its representative for the Miss Universe India competition. In previous years, candidates were chosen through direct auditions. This new approach, BASN President Mele Pucho said, aims to ensure that “we send the best possible representatives to the national stage.”

The winner of Miss Universe Nagaland 2025 will go on to compete in the Miss Universe India pageant, the dates for which will be announced following the conclusion of all state-level contests.

Adding glamour to the upcoming event, Miss Universe India 2024, Rhea Singha, will attend the state finals as a guest judge. Additional members of the judging panel will be revealed later.

Auditions are scheduled for Saturday, May 17 at Westside, Ara Mile, Dimapur. While online registration closed on May 12, on-spot registration will be available at the venue on the audition day.

Organizers anticipate 15 to 30 contestants, who will undergo grooming and training sessions ahead of the finale. The event is being supported by the Tourism Department, TaFMA (as the venue partner), and Westside, Dimapur. As the franchise for Miss Universe India is held by the Glamanand Group, BASN is conducting the pageant in alignment with the group’s official guidelines.
