Rengma- Lotha Cl-I contractor appeal

The Rengma and Lotha government registered Class-I contractors have urged the state government to cancel the advertisement No.CE/NH/NIT/2010-11 dated Kohima 8th July 2010 and follow the practice of accommodating local contractors.
The class I contractor from the two tribes in a joint meeting on August 7 at RSU conference hall Tseminyu town decided to request the state government to cancel the advertisement calling for national competitive bidding in regard to two lanning of NH-61 from Km 41 to Km 73 as published earlier and instead follow the practice of accommodating the local contractor by breaking up the sanctioned job into piecemeal as it has been practice earlier covering Kohima and some portion of Mokokchung district.
A press note jointly signed by Thomas Ngullie, president Cl-I contractors union Wokha and M.S Khing, president, Cl-I contractors Union Tseminyu stated that the meeting also decided to initiate its own course of action if the state government failed to fulfill its demand. This was stated.
