Old Boys Association (OBA) of Sainik School Imphal (SSI) held its annual general body meeting (GBM) cum get together in the conference hall of fisheries department, Dimapur on October 16.
The association during the meet, deliberated on various issues and action plans which include: drafting and approval of the constitution/bye-laws of OBASSI; to register the association with the home department, government of Nagaland; to strengthen the financial position of the association and conduct charitable events for the society; to have close networking and coordination with OBA of Sainik Schools Nagaland Chapter; logo and motto of the association will be designed by a group of our Architects, led by Ar. Alo Kent; constituted a committee on fund management with Er. Zulu, Manager, IDBI as convener and Er. Atovi Kiba, Ar. Chenithung as members; to maintain a registry of Old Boys on compulsory basis with Ar. Leyant as the secretary statistics for the association.
All former students (Old Boys) of SSI have been requested to contact Cadet. Leyant, at 9436420116/9856891530, obassinagaland@yahoo.in or obassinagaland@gmail.com and furnish respective particulars at the earliest; to collaborate with the OBASS, Nagaland chapter, for the establishment of a recreational centre; one minute silence was observed to pay homage to two departed members namely Dr. K. Lanu Jamir and Er. Yanrenthung Kikon who passed away this year.
In the concluding session, special invitees Inakali Kiba, Emilo Patton and Imli and friend presented special numbers for the OBA, SSI members. The programme was chaired by the president, OBA, SSI, Cadet. Kevisa Kense and vote of thanks pronounced by Cadet. Mhabemo Ovung.
Meanwhile, Old Boys Association, SSI Nagaland chapter expressed condolence on the demise of Poni Kent at Kohima on October 18. The association further prayed God would bestow upon the family, the strength at this hour of grief and the departed soul to rest in peace.
