Even as the ultimatum served on the authorities over the December 20 incident at Pherima expired on December 28, the Pherima Village Council (PVC) said it has restrained from taking action following requests by minister, Doshehe Sema, MLA and Advisor Azheto Zhimomi, MLA K. Hollohon and Peace Committee headed by former MLA Rokonicha. PVC, however, said it would resort to its own course of action if the authorities failed to deliver justice. The PVC GBs also expressed disappointment over the delay by the authorities to take action against those involved in the incident even after it officially lodged a complaint at Medziphema Police Station against those responsible for the incident.
