Niketu exhorts WASU general conference

The 39th general conference of Western Angami Students’ Union (WASU) with theme “Edifying the civic values” took place on Saturday at the auditorium hall of Kohima Science College, Jotsoma.
Niketu Iralu, trustee, friends of Moral Re-armament (India), trustee, Centre for North East Studies and Policy Research, Guwahati and New Delhi and member Peace Committee NBCC was the chief guest.
Addressing the conference, the chief guest called urged upon students to adequately respond to various challenges ahead.
He also encouraged students to be well aware of their responsibility and urged them to prepare well, know the needs as well as weaknesses and respond to the challenges with zeal and confidence.
In his greeting message, Angami Students’ Union (ASU) President Voto Nyiekha disclosed the 24th ASU conference will take place in the second week of April at Sovima village and called upon the students union to prepare for the conference.
Western Angami Public Organization (WAPO), president, Vikehielie Khawakhrie also exhorted the gathering, while WASU president Keviuchüto Kuotsu delivered the presidential address.
The function was chaired by WASU vice president, Zeneisalie Sano while vote of thanks proposed by WASU assistant general secretary Thepfusakhono Vielie.
In the afternoon session, Buno Zetsuvi, associate professor, education department, Nagaland University attended the conference as the guest of honour.
