August 18, 2011 | by admin

Child development project office (CDPO)which was formally set up on June 26, 2007 at Tizit under social welfare development had been left neglected owing to unavailability of CDPO in station.
According to Tizit Area Students’ Union (TASU) president Chemkhah Wangsu and general secretary Manzang Kannam, the Child development project office  was transferred last year without a reliever till date.

Currently the office is being manned by supervisor and peon only and the remaining staff were said to be out of station, stated TASU.
The union also stated that within a span of three years, CDPO post has been cross- transferred three times consecutively i.e within June 2007- December 2010.
Besides, the authority also failed to implement the integrated child development service which was introduced in the year 2008, under the social welfare department, alleged the union.

Expressing concern over the unavailability of Child development project office, TASU has appealed to the authority-in charge to deploy CDPO at Tizit and to implement all schemes, funds meant for Tizit children.
Meanwhile, all staff has been directed to report at the station and to regularly discharge their duties. TASU also stated that it would resort to its own course of action against “apathetic” staff.
