A man aged around 40 was drowned while fishing at Dhansari river, here on Saturday. The victim a father of two identified as V. Mungyan Phom of Yangnyah village, Longleng and employed as Dobashi at DC Office Dimapur had gone for fishing in the river at around 10:30 am when strong current washed him away.
He is presently residing with his family near Circuit House Dimapur. The body has not been retrieved even as searches continued till evening.
