Oriental College observes fresher’s day

 Oriental College, Kohima celebrated its 22nd fresher’s day 2018 on July 20 at the college auditorium with senior pastor, Faith Harvest Church Kohima, Rev. Shan Kikon as the guest speaker. 

A press release from Oriental College Kohima principal, Dr. Ketshukietuo Dzuvichu stated that pastor Kikon encouraged the students to develop the reading habit, not only of textbooks but other books as well. He also talked about dignity of labour, which he said was lacking among Nagas. Kikon said that it was high time students develop a work culture. 
Kikon emphasised on the need to respect and honour the college, classroom, teachers and the management. 
“If you give respect and honour; you will also receive the same thing in return directly or indirectly”, he exhorted.
The program was chaired by Toli Yeptho; invocation was said by chaplain of Oriental College Kohima, Ketouneino Khro; exhortation was delivered by Gopal Chetri, vice principal; while vote of thanks was proposed by Samuel. 
This was followed by the introduction of clubs and registration of new members.
The second entertainment session and crowing of Mr. & Miss Fresher’s Oriental College Kohima 2018 was compered by Toli and Vimeyieno. Moanukshi Lemtur of Class XI (Arts) and Angela Tamang of Class XI (Com.) were crowned Mr. & Miss Fresher’s 2018 of Oriental College, Kohima respectively.
