Tenyimi students union of Dimapur Government College (DGC), Saku Mission College (SMC) and Immanuel College (IM) held its first get together under the theme ‘Oneness in progress” on Friday at Noune resort, Dimapur.

Exhorting the students of the three colleges, president Rongmei Students’ Union Dimapur (RSUD) Panti Kamai said knowing one’s history was important for every individual and therefore urged the Tenyimi students of Dimapur to know their history as Tenyimi people since people without history are lost people.

Kamai also reminded the students to remember their roots and encouraged them to be responsible for the wellbeing of their Tenyimi brothers and sisters.

Speaking at the occasion, former president Dimapur Naga Students Union (DNSU) Medovoi said most of the Tenyimis suffer from inferiority complex while competing with the other major tribes, and added that it was high time they change their attitude and march forward and excel in everything they do.

While congratulating the three college unions, Medovoi also reminded the students that their first priority was to study and prosper seeing that education was not only book knowledge but being responsible citizens.

The get-together was attended by the unit presidents of Tenyimi students union and the Tenyimi students of all the three colleges.
