‘World Habitat Day’ observed at Kiphire

In commemoration of World Habitat Day, the Kiphire Town Council (KTC) in collaboration with the Eastern Explorers organized a singing (quartet) competition on October 3 at ZPGC auditorium Hall, Kiphire.

Longya Ward, Good Shepherd School and Kipongya Ward were declared the winner, 1st and 2nd runner up respectively.
The winner won a Keyboard (Yamaha) while a Hollow Guitar each was given away to the 1st and 2nd runners-up.

The prizes were sponsored by the Kiphire Town Council and Kirithong ADC (DMA) SSA Kiphire.
Ato Yimchunger presented a special number and Athrila SDO (C) and administrator Kiphire Town Council highlighted the significance of ‘Habitat Day’ and its impact.

Kirithong ADC (DMA) and Lipichum secretary (IRCS) Kiphire spoke on the occasion.
Guest band of the evening, the Cliffers, winner of RockAware Kiphire district enthralled the audience with their original numbers. The sound systems were provided by the Euphony Sound and Eastern Explorers.

Meanwhile Kiphire Town Council and Eastern Explorers have expressed gratitude to Kirithong ADC (DMA) SSA Kiphire for sponsoring second prize, ZPGC authority for providing auditorium, Cliffers band and those who took part in the programme.
