A suspect identified as one Noklem, of Longwa village, who was remanded to judicial custody October 15 on charges of “child labour case” has been handed over to the Women Cell, Dimapur.

According to sources, Noklem was accused of taking four under-aged children (one 11-year old, two 12-years old and one 13-year-old) from Mon on the pretext of sending them to schools in Dimapur.

Interestingly, the four children were rescued by Dimapur police from the clutches of one Tsering Chonzon of Dimapur. On learning the involvement of Noklem, Dimapur police informed Mon police, who in turn arrested Noklem.  (Correspondent)
