Seek forgiveness from NSCN (I-M), NSCN (K) tells GPRN/NSCN

NSCN (K) Thursday stated that GPRN/NSCN should have the courage to seek forgiveness from the families of those “slain by them” especially “comrades from NSCN (I-M)” if it was sincere in the “peace and reconciliation slogan”. It was “obligatory” on GPRN/NSCN’s part to “justify their bloody fratricidal policies” before the Nagas rather than “irrelevantly” getting embroiled with “ENPO or NSCN/GPRN”, added a press release from MIP.
NSCN (K) alleged that “Khole and Kitovi” had been the “mastermind of every regrettable incident” that happened between the two entities since the split of NSCN. It went on to state that Kitovi in the capacity as the ‘ato kilonser’ and Khole, as the ‘commander-in-chief’ under S.S. Khaplang’s leadership were “responsible” for the conflict with NSCN (I-M).
While stating that since the signing of Covenant of Reconciliation (CoR) “bitter past” between the two NSCNs has been buried, NSCN (K) said that attempting to revive “past bitterness and mutual conflict” within the Naga family by Khole and Kitovi only revealed their “insanity”.
The MIP further stated that “the duo took undue advantage and betrayed S.S. Khaplang” while he remained “aloof and delegated the authority” to them to take “urgent/on the spot decisions” in Nagaland.
Kitoho asked to resign within 1 week
NSCN (K) Thursday asked Sumi Hoho vice-president, Kitoho Rotokha to “resign from his post within one week”. NSCN/GPRN MIP in a statement asserted that failure to produce the “resignation documents” would be considered as an “invitation of direct confrontation with NSCN/GPRN”.
While stating that the “contention” was purely an “exclusive matter” between NSCN (K) and Kitoho Rotokha, the MIP reiterated its earlier stand to ask Kitoho Rotokha to resign from the office of vice-president, Sumi Hoho within a week.
It may be recalled that the NSCN (K) in December 2011 had alleged that Kitoho, despite “repeated reminders” to desist from “misusing” his office had “exceeded his official obligation”.
