Minister for health and family welfare Kuzholuzo (Azo) Thursday lamented that Nagaland today had become corrupt with extortion; land grabbing, illegal taxation etc., and various issues taking place in the society. To overcome this corruption, Azo said one needed to change one’s attitude and mindset.

Speaking as chief guest at Lozathuhü students union golden jubilee celebration, Azo added the challenge ahead was huge which could be overcome with the fear and faith in God.

Azo also added that Chakhesang was a community which had demanded reservation at one point of time but was determined only by the commission or community after verifying data and analysing the status of the community in the past. Stating that time would come when reservation would be reviewed; Azo called upon Chakhesang people to be prepared if the community was to be categorized under ‘developed’ category.

Earlier, chief guest unveiled the monolith and released the souvenir to commemorate Lozathuhü Students Union golden jubilee celebration.
Meanwhile, parliamentary secretary for tourism, law & justice, Yitachu exhorted the students Thursday as cultural guest. Yitachu stressed on preservation of culture and importance of education. Yitachu latter gave a declaration of jubilee feast, which was followed by cultural extravaganza featuring folk dance, folk sons and traditional games.
