Lions’ Charter nite in Dimapur

Lions Club Dimapur and Lions Club Dimapur Blue Vanda celebrated its Charter Nites’ together at Lions Club Dimapur with District Governor (DG), lion Amar Barooah as the chief guest on February 11 in the presence of many distinguished guests and families of the club members.

Two wheel Chairs were distributed to the needy patients at Mother Teresa Charity Home by the club. A sum of Rs.5, 000 was donated by the chief guest for infants at the charity home.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest congratulated Lions Club Dimapur for providing yeoman’s services to the society. He also reminded one and all that Lions is the largest NGO in the world with its 14,000 branches across the world.

He is of the opinion that India might overtake USA at the top position in the country wise membership strength by 2020.
A water purifier was also inaugurated at the club premises. Charter members of both the clubs were felicitated on the occasion.
