Home Minister Imkong L Imchen Monday requested security forces deployed in the state to relax frisking and checking on February 28, 29 and March 1 so as to pave way for free movement of delegates to attend the proposed Naga Reconciliation meet to be held on February 29 at Agri-Expo, Dimapur.
In a statement, Imchen also expressed hope that such gesture would not disturb the security apparatus in the state but contribute to the purpose of the convention. Beside the cease-fire ground rules, every effort should be put in so as to make such conclave a success, he stated.
The home minister also expressed happiness that the peace process was picking up momentum with the support of various sections of people under the banner of Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR).
