Schools and colleges in Mokokchung would remain closed on April 30 to felicitate students in different educational institutions in Mokokchung town to attend the celebration of first foundation day of Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT).
This decision was arrived at following a request by MTLT officials to the district education officer Mokokchung, private schools association and principals of different higher secondary schools and colleges in the town.
Additional chief secretary & development commissioner Alemtemshi Jamir IAS would be the chief guest. An elaborate programme has been chalked out to commemorate the day, with a panel discussion on the topic ‘Mokokchung by 2025’ where renowned Ao scholars and personalities from different walks of life will take part in the discussion.
