Compulsory High Security Registration Plate (HSRP) by June 15 next

To implement Supreme Court order dated December 8, 2011 regarding High Security Registration Plate (HSRP), with June 15, 2012 as the last date; state Transport department has informed owners of all vehicles to compulsorily change registration plates into HSRP before the deadline. 

Mezayi Tetseo, deputy Transport commissioner Monday informed that other than HSRP all other registration plates would be illegal and liable to be penalized under the provision of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 and the rules made there under.

Fixation of the HSRP is carried in the respective registration authority office premises or at other notified stations, Tetseo said.
