Foundation stone for construction of district house of the Bharat Scouts and Guides Association Dimapur (BS&GAD) was laid by T. Lankonsen Tsanglao, EAC Dimapur & vice president, harat Scouts and Guides Association Dimapur on June 23 at the State Training Centre Nerhema, Kohima.
Speaking on the occasion, Tsanglao said the purpose of district house was to provide suitable accommodation for scouts and guides of Dimapur district whenever activities were held at the training centre.
He also informed that the most immediate event coming up was the centenary celebrations of girl guiding and scouting in December 2012 for which the BSGAD was hard pressed on time and resources.
He also stated BSGAD was engaged in aggressive mobilization of fund and was hopeful that with support from the citizens of Dimapur, the district house would be completed on time.
The function was attended by Noleto Visa, executive officer, Development Authority Nagaland & VP, BSGAD, Agay Joseph, BOC Scouts, Kevileno, BOC Guides, Kezhaleno, Life member, BSGAD, Vihili Assumi, Asst. BOC Guides Scouts and Guides from Assisi School, Dimapur.
Kevileno thanked all present at the function and also the DC Dimapur, legislators, government officials and individuals of Dimapur district who has been supportive of the BSGAD’s project.
