Rio on youth capacity building programme

State chief minister Neiphiu Rio Saturday laid on the table of the house, the detailed status of Naga youth trained for employment opportunities in the country and abroad in fulfilment of the assurance made by him on September 21, 2012.

The reply was made in response to a supplementary question by I.Imkong, MLA. Under Chief Ministers’ Corpus Fund (CMCF)/capacity building programme of the state, a total of 233 youth were trained abroad and 22 were given placement during the period 2006-07 to 2011-12. On the other hand, under the various CMCF/capacity building program of the State, a total of  9072 youth were trained under various categories out of which 1581 youth have so far found placement from the period 2003-04 to 2011-2012.
