Election Commission special summary revision of electoral roll

Election Commission of India has announced special summary revision of electoral roll w.r.t. January 1, 2013 as the qualifying date vide Letter No. 23/2012 ERS (Vol-111) dated August 27, 2012.

The schedule revision of photo electoral rolls for 2013 are as follows:

Draft publication of rolls- October 1; Period for filing of claims and objections- October 1 till 31; Reading of relevant part/section of photo electoral rolls in Gram Sabha/local bodies and RWA meetings etc and verification of names on October 6 and October 9; Special campaign dates with booth level agents of political parties for receiving claims and objections would be held on 7th October 7, 14 and 21; Disposal of claims and objections should be completed by December 1;

Updating the database, merging of photographs, updating the control tables and preparation and printing of supplementary list would be held from December 1 till December 31 and final Publication of Electoral Rolls- January 5, 2013.

Additional chief electoral officer Lithrongla G Chishi has informed that all individuals can submit the filled form 6, 6A, 7, 8, & 8A for claim, claim for overseas voters, objection, correction and transposition respectively to the concerned BLO, ERO or one may download the form and electoral roll ceonagaland.nic.in

Electorals who are already enrolled but their photograph has not appeared in the photo electoral roll may submit 2(two) recent passport photograph with full front scape of the face (No shades, caps, mufflers and hats will be allowed) and submit in form 001B or be photographed at the designated photograph Lithrongla G. chishi ic location in DEOs Office of concerned district.
