Man attempts self-immolation

One person, identified as Tapash Bhowmick (41), son of late B. Bhokhuti Bhowmick of Hojai college road, Assam, and a resident of Kevijau Colony, Signal Bosti, Dimapur, sustained 80% burn injury after an attempted self-immolation  Tuesday night at NST Colony, Dimapur.

According to S.I, Y.L Tsopoe, investigating officer, West Police Station, Dimapur, the victim worked at a steel fabrication unit at Khermahal, Dimapur.

Tsopoe said Bhowmick had lighted himself after pouring kerosene  after an altercation with the proprietor.
