Deputy Commissioner & Returning Officer, Mokokchung, Murohu Chotso has constituted the election expenditure monitoring cell for monitoring day to day election expenditure incurred by the candidates.
DC & RO in this regard, appointed video surveillance team, video viewing team and accounting team for monitoring the expenditure in all the 10 assembly constituencies in the district.
Besides, DC also constituted Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) for the entire district.
The committee to be chaired by DC & DEO/RO include DPRO, Mokokchung, member secretary, programmes executive, AIR, Mokokchung, member and president, Mokokchung Press Club, member.
DC and RO also set up flying squads and static surveillance teams for Tuli, Changtongya, Mokokchung I & II, Kobulong, Longtho, and Mangkolemba. Each team would be headed by an administrative officer for respective towns.
Expenditure Monitoring control room would be set up and looked after by a committee headed by assistant election officer, Mokokchung.
Training for officials of expenditure monitoring cell teams would be held on January 28, 12 noon at DC’s conference Hall.
