Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has demanded that responsible department ensure there was no shortage of teachers in any school, particularly in remote areas, right from the beginning of 2013 academic session.
Appreciating the Gauhati High Court, Kohima bench judgment of January 18 regarding 2012 teachers recruitment exam, NSF has also appealed to the responsible department to seriously examine the claims and objections of the “aggrieved B.Ed and PSTE students” and look into their grievances.
In a press release, NSF president Kelhouneizo Yhome and secretary education Chipakhuyi Rhakho pointed out that the Centre had created 2856 post of teachers to be recruited by the state department of school education under the SSA and RMSA flagship programme for the sole benefit of the students.
However, it regretted that due to filing of writ petition by “aggrieved B.Ed and PSTE students”, the students of government schools have “undergone immeasurable suffering due to lack of teachers.”
