NMA leaves for Delhi Jan 27 for award

Ten-member delegation of the Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA), led by its president Abi-e Meru, would leave for Delhi January 27 to receive Times of India social impact “lifetime contribution” award.

NMA president Abi-e Meru told Nagaland Post that ten members including women tribal leaders of the association would attend the award ceremony.

She also disclosed that the Supreme Court final hearing on Women Reservation has been deferred to the first week of February.

Times of India (TOI) selected NMA for peace and social impact award 2013 for their excellence in bringing social change in the state. The Award ceremony would take place on January 28 in New Delhi.
