Deputy commissioners and returning officer Phek, Anoop Khinchi has notified all assembly constituencies under Phek District- 16-Pfutsero Assembly Constituency, 17-Chizami Assembly Constituency, 18- Chozouba Assembly Constituency, 19-Phek Assembly Constituency and 20-Meluri Assembly Constituency on the forthcoming elections to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
Nomination papers may be delivered by a candidate or by any of his proposers to the returning officer Anoop Khinchi or to the assistant returning officer I. Shanen Jamir between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on any day (other than a public holiday) not later than t February 6.
Form of nomination paper may be obtained at the place and time aforesaid. The nomination papers will be taken up for scrutiny at the office of deputy commissioner and returning officer, Phek for all the Assembly Constituencies under Phek district on February 7, 10 a.m for 16-Pfutsero A/C, at 11 a.m for 17-Chizami A/C, 12 noon for 18-Chozouba A/C, at 1p.m for 19-Phek A/C and at 2 p.m. for 20-Meluri A/C.
Notice of withdrawal of candidature may be delivered either by a candidate or by any of his proposers or by his election agents who has been authorized in writing by the candidate to deliver it to either of the officers specified as mentioned above at his office before 3 p.m. on February 9. In the event of the election being contested, the poll would be taken on February 23 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
