Ao Students’ Union Dimapur (ASUD) in a statement condemned the “treatment meted out to the ASUD by the vice president of the Ao Union Dimapur (AUD).”
In a press release, ASUD president Sungkum Aier and general secretary Imlikumzuk said that the ASUD held an emergency meeting on February 2 with regard to the AUD’s letter dated 28th January, 2013 and deliberated upon the decision made by the AUD on January 22 last.
ASUD said that the house resolved to reply in written and the said letter was handed over to the vice president Ao Union Dimapur.
However, ASUD said: “To our utter surprise and dismay the ASUD office bearers were abused, insulted and threatened by the vice president AUD”.
In this regard, ASUD has vehemently condemned the “illogical and disrespectful act committed by the said leader of the AUD upon the ASUD.”
