Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader and MLA Tokheho Yepthomi Monday congratulated Ashwani Kumar, former CBI Director, on being appointed as Governor of Nagaland.
In a statement, Tokheho said the people of the state were privileged by Ashwani Kumar’s appointment and exuded confidence that Nagaland, which was “deeply mired in corruption and nepotism” would see radical changes during his gubernatorial tenure.
The CLP leader said Ashwani Kumar’s vast experience would be beneficial to the people of Nagaland not only during your tenure but also long after and wished him success in the new assignment.
Tokheho also expressed gratitude to outgoing Governor Nikhil Kumar who had a very successful tenure as Governor of Nagaland since his appointment on October 15, 2009.
