Department of Information Technology & Communication (IT&C) held an introductory meeting with the new parliamentary secretary, Tovihoto Ayemi on March 12 at the residential office of the parliamentary secretary.
Tovihoto Ayemi addressing the department officials, highlighted the importance of information technology in the modern world and assured his commitment towards progress and development of information technology in the state.
“One of the thrust areas emphasized was improved delivery system of public services to the citizens through effective use of ICT tools”, he said.
K. T. Sukhalu, commissioner & secretary, IT & C, chaired the meeting and also welcomed the new parliamentary secretary to the department.
He further highlighted on the key activities of the department. Respective nodal officers also presented status and progress of various projects under the National eGovernance Plan (NeGP) and state undertakings.
