Two-day free workshop cum coaching class Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2013 was conducted by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Wokha at the premises of Vidyalaya for class V students, applicants who applied for JNVST 2013, scheduled for April 27.
The programme was attended by the students and their parents/ guardians who were highlighted on “cultural values” and significance of JNV by the principal R B Singh.
Elaborating on the role of Navodaya’s in making the future of students from rural areas, he highlighted the salient feathers of the Navodaya’s system like free education, free stationeries, uniforms, boarding and lodging, food etc.
While stressing on basic guidelines of JNVST 2013, Singh informed that the admit cards for the test would be available at District Education Officer’s Office, Wokha Town and examination centre at Government Higher Secondary School, Wokha town.
A power point presentation was also demonstrated by senior teacher S. S. Choudhury. The complete process of the test i.e. filing the OMR Sheet, question paper pattern, nature of question and division of marks was discussed and followed by the practice/ mock test of the students.
Ramya Singh, Nzanrhoni and Pragyan stood first, second and third respectively and were awarded prizes. Consolation prizes were also given to all the participants.
During the workshop, technical assistance was given by FCSA Department of Vidyalaya, Mr. Nikunj Boro.
