Newly constructed building of Government Middle School (GMS), Chiecha Centre, Chiechama village was inaugurated on March 19 by Thejao Vihienuo, state mission director, RMSA Nagaland as the chief guest.
Highlighting the policy and programmes of RMSA, Thejao called upon the teachers, village education committee and village authority to initiate and work together for young students, whose future was on their hand.
While expounding on the responsibilities of teachers, he urged the teachers to be honest and sincere in their profession.
In order to attract and encourage young children to school, he called upon the teachers and VEC to make the school a student friendly place.
Earlier, the chief guest unveiled the monolith of the newly constructed school building and later released a brief history of primary education in Chiechama village under the title ‘foot print in education’ which was published by VEC, Chiechama.
Thekielie Keditsu, AMD & SSA secretary gave a brief history on education in the village while a report on construction of the school building was presented by Neilavonuo Theünuo, member secretary VEC.
Shorts speeches were delivered by village council chairman, teachers, parents and village vision cell respectively. The school building was constructed under SSA programme and VDB fund.
