Youngs’ Club Dimapur (YCD) founding members Jenpu Rongmei and Antsho attended the national youth leadership summit (Re-crafting India) in commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda at Kolkata on March 15-16.
The programme was organized by Prantakatha, a well known NGO in Kolkata in collaboration with Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University and supported by American Centre U.S. Consulate General, Kolkata.
Altogether 28 youth led NGOs from different states participated to learn and share for the social changes.
Youngs’ Club Dimapur was invited for their outstanding service for the community and social change and also its activities and achievement was shown through audio video.
Jenpu Rongmei interacted with Dean R. Thompson, council general of the USA, Shyamal Datta former governor of Nagaland and Justice Chittatosh Mookerjee, former chief justice Bombay and Calcutta High Court.
It may be mentioned here that YCD is a youth led NGO, formed in 2010 to work for community and social change through initiating and organizing different youth programmes.
Youngs’ Club has two of its own pet projects ‘Discover Positive’ a programme for drop out students and underprivileged youth and ‘Care & Hope’ a support programme for the children infected and affected by HIV and AIDS and affected by drugs and alcohol parents.
