Project Director DRDA Wokha, Lily Humtsoe described women as masterpiece of God’s creation, created by God on the 6th day.
Speaking at a special programme organized for women at jubilee memorial hall Kohima on March 28, Lily said women were special, because after God created the heaven and earth, He created Adam but found that something was missing. Thus God created women as a masterpiece of His creation, she exhorted.
She impressed upon the women gathered, to live a responsible life that was acceptable in the eyes of God, and to live as God’s masterpiece through their lives.
Drawing the attention of the gathering on the life of Holy Mary, Lily Humtsoe said Mary is still acknowledged generations after generations as the most honoured women as she carried forward the mission entrusted to her by God till the end.
“Identity of Holy Mary did not end after the crucification of Jesus, but she steadfastly continued to spread the gospel of Christ as a humble follower”, the speaker exhorted.
Another speaker, Orenponi Ezung also dwelt on the life of Mary and said the power of faith has been witnessed by the whole world through the life of Mary.
She encouraged the women to be an inspiration to their children, neighbours and to the world by reminding themselves about the faith and life of integrity led by Mary.
In the programme, scenes of Mary’s life through happy and hard times was enacted aided by a power-point presentation, Renchen Group presented special song.
The special programme for womenfolk was organised jointly by Kohima Lotha Baptist Church, Women Department and Renchen Okho.
