PTSU conducts cleanliness drive in Pungro

Pungro Town Students’ Union (PTSU) on Saturday conducted a massive cleanliness drive at Pungro under the banner ‘Clean Pungro’.

Altogether, 235 students took part in the mass social work.

The placards inscribed with slogans ‘Clean Pungro’, ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’, ‘Keep our environment clean’ were placed near the roads.

Meanwhile, Pungro Town Students’ Union appreciated the authority and students of Christian High School, Saramati School, Mt. Horeb School and Little Flower School Pungro for actively participating and responding to the appeal made by the union.

Akiuba Yimchunger, vice president Pungro Town Students’ Union stated that the objective of the cleanliness drive was to create awareness among residents of Pungro to keep the town clean and lead a hygienic lifestyle free from pollution.

The union further hoped the residents of Pungro would continue to cooperate with the union while initiating such works in the town even in the near future.
