Nagaland home minister G. Kaito addressed the review meeting of the state’s bureaucrats on law and order problems in the state which began Wednesday.
The meeting would continue till Thursday. On the first day, Kaito in his inaugural speech said DCs were the foundation of government and the “protected rulers” of the people. He said DCs were the first persons responsible for pursuing perfecting for the welfare of the people.
Urging them to maintain a peaceful atmosphere in all the districts, Kaito asked the DCs present at the meeting to hold coordination meeting with law enforcing agencies, NGOs and tribal hohos.
He also told them to take serious note of issues in the border areas so as no avoid untoward incidents. Additional CS & commissioner Nagaland, Banuo Z. Jamir also spoke at the meeting.
