MLA and advisor NRE and MTF, Khriehu Lezietsu presided over the Kohima District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting on April 15 at the deputy commissioner’s conference hall, Kohima, for the first time since he assumed his new assignment as chairman, DPDB Kohima.
According to an official bulletin, addressing the gathering, Khriehu sought support and cooperation of all the officials concerned so that Kohima DPDB would grow from strength to strength.
He also urged all officers to be interactive during the meetings. Reviewing the last meeting minutes, ADC planning, Ketoho Luho reminded the house on the seminar on Village Vision Cell (VVC), constitution of sub-committee, garbage and plantation committee. The house also decided that the sub-committee on garbage disposal should convene a meeting at the earliest.
CEO, Kohima, Elizabeth Ngully reported the house on the loss of a KMC vehicle which was earlier donated by Kohima DPDB. She also requested funds from the Local Area Development Programme (LADP) to be made available to KMC for awareness campaigns on waste disposal.
General manager, district industries centre, Kohima, A. Temjen Jamir gave a presentation on his departmental activities where he highlighted on the state industrial policy; North East Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy (NEIIPP), centrally sponsored schemes, Weaver’s Credit Card (WCC), Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), registration under Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneur (MSME); training programme; demonstration funds; food processing industries; Special Economic Zone (SEZ); Integrated Infrastructure Development (IID) centre Kiruphema; Urban Haat, Dimapur; Industrial Growth Centre (IGC), Ganeshnagar and the trade and commerce wing of the department which takes care of all activities relating to trade and commerce.
