A man abducted by unknown persons from Super Market area, Dimapur on June 6 was rescued by Dimapur police on June 7.
According to Dimapur police PRO, the victim, identified as Nuramin Haque, a mason, was rescued from a house at Purana bazaar reportedly belonging to a GPRN/NSCN cadre, identified as Ato Aye (38), son of late Khevito Aye of Tichipami village, Zunheboto, who was also arrested besides two accused identified as Rostum Ali (60), son of late Suruddin of Nagaon and his wife Salaikha Khatoon (40).
Police said Rs.60,000 was demanded for the safe release of the kidnap victim, who was found with his hands and feet bound with ropes. A case of kidnapping for ransom was registered with east police station Dimapur, police said.
