Ao organizations adopt resolution on July 4 murder

A joint consultative meeting of the three Ao apex organizations namely Ao Senden, Watsü Mungdang and Ao Student Conference (AKM) was convened on July 19 and adopted the following resolve over the July 4 Residency murder case of late Nungshilila Jamir in Dimapur. 

A press release issued by Achila Imsong, president Watsü Mungdang, Sangyu Yaden, president Ao Senden and Akok Longkumer, president AKM informed that the meeting resolved to submit a representation to the Governor to intervene on the murder case for prompt and speedy justice.

It also asked the police and all investigating agency to make public all their findings including medical and forensic test collected from the crime scene, to maintain transparency.

The three organizations also warned that if any individual or organization was found involved in obstructing the investigating process, necessary action would be initiated against such elements.

The meeting also reaffirmed to remain steadfast to see that justice delivered at the earliest and the criminal(s) involved punished in accordance with the law.
