2 held for pilfering LPG cylinders

Two persons were apprehended by Pfutsero town council (PTC) members while pilfering LPG cylinders from the LPG truck (NL-07-A-1517) meant for Pfutsero town August 19.

The two have been identified as one Diezievoto Thepa, son of Kilie Thepa, from Chumukedima village and Alo Basumatari, son of Robin Basumatari from Langing, Karbi Anglong (Assam). In a press release, Pfutsero Town Council administrator Vikishe Sema stated that device used for pilfering was also seized from their posession.

The two accused were later arrested by the Pfutsero police and a case was registered. According to PTC administrator, LPG truck never arrived on time with an excuse that the vehicle broke down on the way. Ironically, PTC administrator said the vehicle always broke down when it reached Chakhabama.
