Hindi Fortnight (Pakbwada) is being organized from September 12 to 24 at various central government offices under the aegis of Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Kohima.
During this period, various Hindi competitions for both Hindi and non-Hindi speaking categories are being organized separately.
The closing ceremony will be organized on September 24, 1 p.m. at state academy hall, P.R. hill Kohima under the chairmanship of Athikho Challai, Chairman, TOLIC, Kohima and Accountant General (A&E) Nagaland.
Chotisuh Sazo, Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly ,will grace the occasion as chief guest while Besesayo Kezo (IPS) Director General of Police Nagaland and Maj Gen. M. M. Naaravane (SM) inspector General Assam Rifles (North) will grace the occasion as guest of honour and special invitee respectively.
The chief guest and other dignitaries would highlight the significance of Rajbhasha Hindi and there will be prize distributions for the winners of various competitions.
The other highlights of the programme include Hindi patriotic songs and cultural programmes presented by children of Kendrya Vidhyalya, TOLIC member office staff, their children and NEZCC Dimapur.
The programme will be attended by all heads of central government offices, nationalized banks, public sector undertakings and para-military forces stationed in Kohima.
