The much-awaited dream of Kiphire people came true with the inauguration of Tsatongse Anar memorial Guest House at Power ward here Saturday.
The guest house, with well furnished rooms, attached toilets, TV, generator facility, parking lot, is all set to serve the customers now.
The guest house also has a meeting place, which can accommodate at least 50 people for important meetings.
Owned by Lisemong Anar, the guest house would provide food to customers. Room rent for double and single rooms are Rs. 1200 and Rs. 600 respectively.
Chorise Anar son of Late Tsatongse Anar, while delivering a short speech at the inaugural programme, said, “Many officers and important persons from across the state feel uncomfortable with regard to accommodation and food while visiting Kiphire, but now with the blessing of my late father, we have come up with the idea in building a guest house.”
“It will be a new opening for Kiphire and we seek blessings from the people to take care of the guest house,” he stated.
The guest house was built in memory of Tsatongse Anar, a renowned person in Kiphire district.
Late Tsatongse Anar, son of Yangpikyu Sangtam of Seyochung village during his lifetime served as Dobashi, Naga national Army in 1958 and as GB Kiphire town till his demise.
He is considered as one of the pioneers in bringing peace in the district.
