Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kohima W. Honje Konyak has stated that as part of the three- day workshop for capacity development programme on disaster management, a mock drill would be held at Fancy Market, near Old NST, Kohima Friday.
According to a DIP report, the siren from the Police HQ would be sounded at around 10 a.m. The public has been requested not to panic as this would be a part of the mock drill exercise.
There would also be movement of ambulance, volunteers, mock casualty victims, rescue and operation teams, police etc in the area.
The workshop is being organized by Nagaland state disaster management authority (NSDMA) home department in collaboration with National disaster management authority, government of India.
