ATMA Mon conducted an exposure tour for the progressive farm women of Mon district to Sikkim and Darjeeling from October 23-30.
The exposure trip was undertaken as a reward for those progressive farm women who were hard working and had risk orientation.
The farm women were nominated by the respective block convenors. Altogether eleven women including eight farm women and three ATMA officials led by deputy PD ATMA Mon Wondangbeni Kikon undertook the exposure tour.
The team visited Nathu La pass, Tsomgo Lake, seven points tourists spots in Gangtok, Indo-Nepal border (Pashupati), tea estates in Darjeeling, Mirik Lake and Siliguri.
Meanwhile, the participants have expressed gratitude to ATMA Mon for providing excellent learning opportunity through the exposure tour.
