PWD colony panchaya, Kohima executive and sanitation committee held an emergency meeting on November 7 regarding sanitation and also reiterated its earlier resolution and reminded the colony people to strictly follow the rules and resolutions.
PWD colony panchayat further stated that anyone not following the resolution would be penalized.
The resolutions adopted by the panchayat are as follows: Sanitation vehicle would be used only for disposal of garbage/wastes only, other transportation is strictly prohibited, and if found violating, he/she would be penalized; the colony people should be aware that, no building material wastes shall not be lifted whatsoever may be; waste/ garbage should be packed while disposing wastes.
No lose wastes/garbage would be accepted; throwing wastes into drainage or dumping waste/garbage here and there is strictly prohibited, defaulters would be panelized with a fine of Rs. 500.
The PWD youth organization would take action after consultation with the parent body; sanitation fee Rs. 50/- kitchen per month would be collected by the respective sector council as per notification issued by KMC on 16-01-2013. If anyone refuses to pay sanitation fee he /she would be disassociated from the concern sector council.
Further, routing of lifting of garbage on weekdays are as follows: Monday & Thursday – Upper PWD sector; Tuesday & Friday – Middle PWD sector; Wednesday & Saturday – Lower PWD Sector; from 6 a.m. (winter) and 5: 30 a.m. (summer).
