Unlock Productions would be organizing the Ultimate Hornbill choir competition during the Hornbill Festival initiated by Music Task Force (MTF) Nagaland on December 5 and 6 at music academy, Jotsoma.
This was announced by Unlock Productions members Vitoto Sakhrie (technical management), Julian T. Jasokie (production head), Neitho Khamo (research & development) and Tolto Vizol (public relation & marketing) at Dream Café Kohima Saturday.
The members stated that the objective of this event was to promote classical and choir music and also to gap the journal of music under the banner of MTF.
According to the members of Unlock Production, the event will also promote folk music to a higher level by bringing different choirs to embrace Naga cultures.
The organizer also informed that the competition medium can be of any language irrespective of tribes both from outside and within the state with a minimum 20 participants.
The winner would receive Rs. 1 lakh, while the runners-up would receive Rs. 50,000 including attractive individual prizes like best choir conductor, best costume or uniform and best presentation and discipline.
Preliminary round would be held on November 28 and 29 at state academy hall Kohima (choice of music style), second round on December 5 (genre classical) and final round on December 6 (genre folk & classical) both at Music Academy Jotsoma.
