Penkim Baptist Church (PBC) celebrated its golden jubilee along with the woman department and Christian Youth Endeavour (CYE) on December 16-18 under the theme “launching out in deeper transformation”. The golden jubilee monolith was unveiled by mission promoter YBBA Reverend Phunungkiu.
Speaking on the occasion as speaker mission secretary YBBA Hankiu Joshua said during the last 50 years the church has achieved tremendous progress and blessed many great leaders and scholars.
He further asserted that nothing could have been possible without the sacrifice and contribution made by the pioneers and the community.
Joshua said, 50 years of golden jubilee in Christianity should not count just a formality for achieving destination, but make it a history for the kingdom of God as well community and it is very important celebration for the believers to build up more closer relationship with God as a Christian family.
Speaker women secretary YBBA Shojila Lachim also apprises the Church leaders to push forward in all activities as at present context of Naga society need changes it can only be change through the initiatives of churches leaders.
Another speaker Youth secretary YBBA Khalemew talked about the present youth context and said “unless you know him God as your personal savior very well, you can never appreciate that person, you can never understand the good and the bad in that person.”
