Phek Area Wrestling Association (PAWA) would hold its 23rd Wrestling Tournament at Public ground Phek Town January 30 and 31.
Minister for PWD (R&B) and parliamentary affairs Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu would grace the inaugural function as chief guest while deputy commissioner (DC) Phek, Neposo Thuluo would grace the valedictory function as guest of honour and give away the prizes.
According to organizers, the champion of the 23rd edition would walk away with a cash prize of Rs.70,000 along with citation to be sponsored by FGN Kedallo Zhopra Vero.
While the second, third and fourth position holders would receive a sum of Rs.50,000 35,000 and 20,000 respectively along with citations.
The second & third cash prizes will be sponsored by R&B minister Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu while the fourth position cash prize would be sponsored by 5th NAP, Phek deputy commandant Chinese Chakhesang.
The two days event would be managed by Hukhoneyi Soho, Zewepe, Vekuta and Nungozo as the referees while Khopa along with nine others would be the panel of judges.
