Deo bats for upgrading GHS Dhansiripar

Parliamentary secretary for higher education Deo Nokhu Monday said that the only government high school at Dhansiripar, Dimapur should be upgraded to higher secondary and assured to take up the matter with the state government provided people of the area speak out for the urgency.
He was speaking on the sidelines of the “Bishu or Busha”, post harvest festival of the Dimasa, which was organized by Dimasa Public Organization (DPO) and Dimasa Women Welfare Society (DWWS) at government high school ground, Dhansiripar, Dimapur.
The parliamentary secretary said he was impressed by the presentations of various cultural programmes, which truly speaks about the “unity and diverse culture” of the people as one. Feeling the need of introducing science stream also at Dhansiripar schools and the need to open examination centres, Deo Nokhu said he was ready to represent the people of the area and take up the issue with the state government.
Stating that in order to bring development in the state, government was needed, Deo Nukhu urged the people to support whichever ‘party’ comes to power. Also, speaking on the occasion as the guest of honour, former MLA from Dimapur-III A/C, Azheto Zhimomi, urged the public to inculcate the sense of unity within in order to gain respect and honour from others.
Stating that unity has to be developed amongst the people for their ‘identity’, the former MLA added that when it was maintained only then people would give respect and honour them.
Both the chief guest and guest of honour were accompanied by party workers of NPF including women wings along with MLA Toshipokba, state NPF secretary Lipok Pongen and others.
Those present at the festival included Dhansiripar SDO (C), Atokhe Aye, president of Nagaland Contractors and Supplier’s Union (NCSU), Pele Kezhie. Various cultural items including songs and dances marked the celebration of the festival.
