Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), Shepoumaramth Region has expressed “deep grief and anguish” over the killing of Akha Shepou of Tungjoy Village allegedly “by NSCN (I-M) on February 4 in Senapati Town”.
In a press release, FGN, Shepoumaramth Region ‘midan peyu’ K. Michuhrü Aru alleged that Akha Shepou was “abducted” by the NSCN (I-M) from Senapati Town and subsequently killed “without any reason.”
Aru alleged that Shepou was “inhumanly tortured, nailed, rolled by burning iron rod, bones of hands and legs fractured and crushed his head.” He said such “satanic cultures and practices” should be condemned by one and all.
He appealed all Shepoumaramth public, Church leaders, NGO leaders, social workers and fellow Nagas to condemn such acts and fight against “evil forces”, lest more Nagas would be “murdered” in the days to come.
Aru also conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and relatives.
